Product Description

With 14 grind settings and a precision milling system, this electric coffee mill grinds coffee beans to any fineness without overheating them and spoiling their full flavor and aroma. Two ranges of grind settings are marked: one for fine grinds suitable for espresso and Turkish-style coffee, and the other for coarser grinds suitable for drip machines, French presses, and percolators. Selecting a grind requires only a twist of the ring under the coffee-bean container, which holds 8 ounces of beans and can be removed for cleaning. The ground-coffee container is permanently attached for convenience and has a rounded bottom to facilitate scooping. There's a timer dial calibrated by the number of cups desired, so the grinder uses only the amount of beans immediately needed. A measuring spoon (for 1 cup coffee) is included. The mill has cord storage underneath and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Very good coffee grinder. The finest grind is very fine, suitable for espresso.
I owned the predecessor grinder which served me very well for thirty years and continues to serve me at my farm.Braun KMM30 Coffee/Espresso Mill, White

I ordered this from another seller for $40.00 with minimal shipping charges; have no idea why it is nearly $200.00 on Amazon. That is a huge discrepency. Bad review because of the price--other than that it is a decent grinder for $40
Rugged but messy

Reviewer: Al Phabetical,
I've had one of these for forever, maybe ten years, and it just won't die so I can get a new one. It jammed on a little stone that was in a batch of beans one time, and all I had to do was pry it out. Pros: The timer is astonishingly consistent, the hopper is a good size, it has a small countertop footprint, and it's not hard to clean. Cons: It blows coffee dust, you'll clean the numbers off if you're not extremely careful, the catcher lid loosens up over time so it can blow even more coffee dust, and it sounds like a concrete saw when it's grinding. Also, you've seen the movie "Quest for Fire"? I'm currently on a "quest for parts from Braun", and it's not looking good. One hundred twenty-nine dollars seems like a lot, too. I think I'll go the extra few bucks next time and get metal and glass. It takes up 7 1/2 by 5 inches including the extent of the hopper, and it's 10 1/4 inches tall.
Good burr grinder, but why so expensive?

We've had good luck with two Braun coffee grinders over the past 30 years, but in looking for a replacement, I find that the unit (KMM30-WH) available thru Amazon is $199.00 (plus $29 shipping)!!! Somehow I don't think that all its good reviews reflect such an extreme price.

I've seen it elsewhere for $60-100; I can't understand this discrepancy in price!

Loving it

This grinder is much quieter than our previous Braun (which is no longer in business). Since I grind coffee for one cup each morning, I use the timer setting at a very low number. To avoid the static some folks mentioned in their reviews, I always tap on the container before pulling it out.
